Options For Outside-Of-The-Box Wedding Ceremony Arrivals

If you are getting married, one of the decisions you'll need to make is about transportation for the day of the ceremony. You've got a lot of different options, but many of them are pretty traditional and commonplace. For those who really want to stand out in the crowd, a less traditional option may be the way to go. Before you book your wedding transportation, here are some "road less traveled" choices that you can consider.

Hayride Transportation

For a mid-to-late fall ceremony, a hayride is a great way to show up in style. If you live in an area where there are apple orchards, pumpkin farms, or anything of the sort, see if they offer hayrides through the season. Many times, they'll be willing to rent you the equipment and a driver for the day to help you with your wedding transportation.

Helicopter Arrival

If you're getting married in the warm season and you're hosting an outdoor ceremony, why not really shake things up and arrive via a helicopter? Just make sure that there's a landing pad right by your ceremony site. If there isn't, you can take the whole plan a step further and potentially skydive or have the helicopter lower you from a rope into the midst of the ceremony location.

Animal Rides

Whether you choose the more traditional horse or go exotic with an elephant or a camel, arriving at your ceremony on the back of a large, beautiful animal is sure to turn some heads. Just make sure that the animal you ride is covered with a blanket or something similar to protect your dress. And, work with the provider and handler to ensure that you sit comfortably, but without risking damage to your clothing.

Farm Tractors

If you're hosting a country-themed wedding, what better way to tie your transportation to the theme than to have your entire bridal party arrive riding on large farm tractors? You can deck them out with flowers, ribbons, and all sorts of other things in your wedding colors and make a pronounced entrance with the convoy of tractors arriving at the ceremony location.

Bicycle

If you and your soon-to-be-spouse are the outdoorsy types, you can bring your hobbies to the ceremony by arriving on bicycles. Whether you adorn the bicycles with ribbons and such or you have your guests tie cans to them after the ceremony, there are lots of ways to bring them into the spirit of the event.
